Ahhh, he’s such a… pointy… hat! I bet his dungeon is some kind of non-Euclidean arcane sanctuary that he just happened to find. And then he created a gate nearby to horn in on the local business. What a genius! (And yes, the eyes and the beard say it all. That’s why I had to mention the hat.)

He’s pretty much the kind of guy who’s absolutely insufferable because he’s Better Than You, and knows it. And, well, if some dried-out bag of bones can be an Evil Overlord it obviously can’t be that difficult.
