This one gives me a chuckle, even when I see it for a second time.

By the way, it would be handy, when posting a comment, to have an option to “email if any reply”. And/or one that advises if there are any new comments on the page, even if not a reply to that comment specifically. Possibly (although I have not seen an example of such) even one that notifies of any new comments anywhere in the comic. Obviously the notification would need to direct you to the appropriate page. Likewise an “unsubscribe to comments” option, for anyone who changed their mind.

It niggles at me if I post a comment and do not become aware of a reply. It can make it look like you are ignoring someone, whereas it would just be down to not having time to periodically go through page by page trying to find replies.

Not essential, of course, as the comic is the priority. But there are off-the-shelf plug ins which do that kind of thing. If you can find one compatible with your current set up, of course.

Huh. I’d assumed that was a default piece of WordPress functionality, but apparently not.

I’ve had a look around and installed a plugin that should give commenters the option to get notified of replies. You should also (I think) be able to subscribe to posts and get notified of replies to those as well.
